Body mass index (BMI) is a measure of body fat based on height and weight that applies to adult men and women. BMI is an effective indicator for predicting your eligibility for undergoing Bariatric surgery. According to Govt. of India, Ministry of health guidelines, any person with a BMI of 32.5 and with problems of Diabetes, Blood pressure etc. and any patient above 37.5 without co-morbidities are eligible for weight loss surgeries.
